Tourism in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires Tips, a tourist cliché

  1. Stay at Hostel Colonial Buenos Aires – 509 Tucuman St. in corner with San Martín St. – 1st floor. Obviously.
  2. Walking around our neighborhood (Downtown – Nuevo Bajo) are very friendly and attractive. More details on the post above.
  3. Trendier Palermo’s anywhere-but-here barrios, Palermo SoHo, Hollywood,  and, yes, Queens, are home to new design-conscious.
  4. Buenos Aires, of course, is beef-crazed, and Parrilla El Gaucho,  based in the tourist-packed Lavalle St. (a pedestrian street located only one block from the hostel).
  5. As Buenos Aires night life starts vampirically late, a predinner cocktail or snack is advisable. Consult us in our front desk.
  6. For Tango, the city’s many choreographed shows can be entertaining, albeit overpriced. Travelers who want to participate should head to the 10:30 p.m. Friday or Saturday beginners classes (9:30 on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) at La Viruta.
  7. Drink a cold beer at Cervecería López.
  8. Drink a coffee at Café Tortoni.
  9. Named the first Unesco City of Design, Buenos Aires takes its presentation seriously. The Colegiales neighborhood’s Dorrego market, at Dorrego and Zapiola, a converted garage, regularly houses shows of local housewares and clothing designers.
  10. See a soccer game (Boca Juniors vs. River Plate, the best option).

More tips about  Buenos Aires in next post.

  4. Não troque todo o dinheiro no aeroporto. A taxa é bem maior.
  10. Bem-vindos  a Buenos Aires, bem-vindos  a Hostel Colonial
